Objectives
Currently, European Union customs policy focuses on the following areas:
revision of the governance of the customs union
modernisation of the legal framework including strengthening of areas such as risk management or security and safety
extension of the use of European electronic information systems
support for the improvement of the single market in the area of customs handling of goods
